It has been crazy around here since yesterday. The thunder has been monstrous, lightning has been flashing since about 10:30 last night and it has rained SOOOO friggin' hard that I thought the skylight in the kitchen was going to break. I love it though because we never ever get lightning and thunder around here so its pretty awesome. I just hope that the clouds clear by tomorrow evening because I want to see fireworks. But it never fails around here...we will have 90 degree weather, straight sunshine for weeks and then 4th of July hits, and it rains and its cloudy. It's been like that ever since I was little.

So my mom (really she is my step-mom but I have known her since I was 1 yrs old so she is also my "mom") is a huge worry wart. I mean huge. Funny story. She stopped by earlier today with her boyfriend to pick up a spare key while we're in Europe just in case anything goes wrong. Josh & I are sitting inside, waiting for them to get here when I hear a small rumble, slowly getting louder and louder. I knew they were here. They both ride Harleys, and you can hear them coming from about a mile away. Anyways, so they pull up and we head on out to give her the key and chit chat. My mom starts asking questions about Europe (which I SWEAR I've told her everything there is to tell her about a million times) and she goes all in one giant breath and I quote:

"Stick together, you never know what will happen over there, who are you going with, 2 other couples right? can you send me an itinerary of where exactly you will be and what hotels you will be staying at? I know you can't carry weapons, but do you know self-defense just in case, oh and don't forget to register with an embassy, because if you don't and something happens then no one will know your over there, also, make sure you keep your passport close to you, not in your backpack and don't leave it anywhere, always double check, is there a number I can reach you at? How am I going to know you landed safely? Can you email me something while your over there so I know your still alive? Are you going to send me a list of things that need to get done at the house just in case, don't forget emergency phone numbers, like the vet, I would hate to have something happen to the dogs, did I tell you that Charlie is allergic, so don't worry, he won't be coming over and taking care of them, can you send me your flight information too, I don't think I have that."

Phew. Pull it together woman. I'm used to her worrying this much, hello, I grew up with her throughout my high school years, but what I thought was really funny was the do we know self defense part. I mean seriously. Like seriously. And I'm like, dude, mom, we don't know what hotels we're staying at, we don't know which countries we will be in when until we're actually in that country. Isn't that the point of backpacking? So then they are getting ready to leave after I try to calm her nerves and Charlie (mom's boyfriend) goes, "You know, its funny, because the other day, she was actually worrying about worrying." I'm like awwwww mom. geez. Am I seriously like this with the dogs??? Oh man, poor Josh.

It was our 2 year wedding anniversary on the 24th. go us! We didn't really do very much to celebrate - does that mean we're getting old already?? I made him a card and he wrote me a letter and that was that. We didn't go out to eat, no fancy gifts. We really just woke up and were like oh hey babe, happy anniversary and then went about our day. Our parents, grandparents and friends made a bigger deal about it then we did. That was amusing. Especially to hear happy anniversary come out of my dad's mouth. I love him more than I ever did before and can't imagine my days without him. Cheesy, but true.

We leave for Europe in t-minus 8 days. I haven't started packing, I haven't picked up the house, I haven't done anything really. Next week will be a busy week thats for sure. I'm super excited to go, but I'm a little sad too because I've never been away from the dogs for this long and I'm going to be sad waking up every morning for 3 weeks and not being able to pet a furry four-legged buddy. I'm really going to miss them, like alot. Like alot, alot. I think they know something is coming, but they are all a little uncertain of exactly when it's going to happen. But when they see us start packing then I know they will start getting very sad and following us around EVERYWHERE, keeping an eye on us at ALL times.

Does anyone else watch MADtv? That is one of my favorite shows and I really would prefer to watch the older episodes rather than the new ones because I think they are way funnier, but yesterday I was totally on this kick with the Marvin Tikvah character. Do you know who I'm talking about? ALLLLL night last night, during any of the conversations I had with Josh, I kept saying "Come on Shelly, come on." At the time it was funny but looking back on it, I'm sure that he was annoyed with me. Awww well, it was pretty funny and if you haven't seen that skit, then go watch it. I just tried finding something on YouTube, but couldn't.

Did I mention it.is.so.hot.outside.right.now. And tomorrow for Josh's sister's wedding it is supposed to be almost 90. A perfect day for a wedding, but man is it going to be hot. Ohhh gotta go, catch you on the flipside...who says that anymore anyways??

i can't wait anymore. this totally blows. i hate my job (not really, but right now I do). i want to go on vacation already, i don't see how i'm going to make it another 4 weeks. i had no idea that all my clients were having audits this week because they forgot to tell me. how do you forget your having an audit?? this means that anything that wasn't done or 100% compliant, i have to get a-ok with a snap of my fingers. i'm good, but i'm not that good. and i'm tired of josh working nights. it's been over a month now and my sleep schedule is waaaaay off even though i'm not the one working nights. and i don't like how much groceries cost nowadays. i dont really care about the gas because i dont drive anywhere, but groceries? seriously. i hate it. and i'm over stupid people. i've been over them for a long time, but somehow, someway, i seem to have to still deal with them in my every day life. but i'm over it. i don't care anymore. its not worth my time, especially if you give me nothing in return except for your stupidity and childishness (is that a word?). how old are we? your the stupid one, not me. grow the eff up.

What are some of the best(and worst) things about summer?
Submitted by L33tchica.

The best things about summertime are sunshine, camping outdoors, BBQ's, water fights, summer clothes!, going out

on the water and NOT freezing your hiney off, trees in full bloom, and being outside as much as possible.

The worst things about summertime are being inside working while its super nice outside, being way to hot inside, yardwork during this season, when you live in Washington and sometimes don't really have a summer :)

So I was sitting here attempting to get some work done when my mind started to wander. I started thinking about Josh's sister's wedding and if we are going to have to house any family members (aaaaaah!) while they are here and if we are why hasn't anyone said anything to us about it yet, and if we are supposed to house people, how are we going to do that, we don't have an extra bed, maybe we will get a free guest bed out of it, oh wouldn't that be nice, or maybe a futon at the least. So anyways, while I was thinking about if we will have to our house our non-existent guests with a non-existent bed, I started thinking about bunk beds. And then I remembered something from when I was little...or ahem, younger...when my sister & I would be at my moms for the weekend. We had bunk beds and I got top bunk (go me!) and my sister had bottom bunk. These bunk beds have been in our family since I could remember, the mattresses were covered with little space ships and stars and moons which I always thought was a little weird because you put sheets over it, so why have a patterned mattress when you aren't even going to be able to see it. It must have been a marketing ploy for when parents go bunk bed shopping with their kids and the instant their kids see those spaceship covered mattresses, they want that bunk bed and NOTHING else. Plus the bunk bed was probably way over priced. Ok, so back to my point, I wasn't an evil child or teenager, but I was for sure a pracitcal joker and a huge prankster. Plus I only got to see my little sister (3 years my junior) every other weekend so it wasn't like we hung out that much. One weekend, after I knew she was asleep, I creeped down from my top bunk like a ninja with my green felt tip marker in my hand and I sneaked up to her bed trying not to let my giggles get the best of me and ruin my ninja-like stealthiness. I got down on my knees so that in case she woke up I would have quick access to hit the deck and slide underneath the bed so she would never know I was even there. Then I slowly wrote out things on her forehead (when she was little she had a big forehead so it was perfect for me!). I wrote many different things on that forehead throughout the years, but my most common word was 'LOSER' or 'NERD.' In this case, it was loser. I finished up my masterpiece and then slowly made my way back to the top bunk giggling myself to near death and knowing that I wasn't going to be able to sleep all night because I was so excited to see her in the morning. We both woke up the next morning at about the same time and I pretended like nothing was wrong and that she didn't have huge letters written on her face. My mom had ran to the grocery store so it was just us and my little brother. We made it through breakfast without me spilling the beans or even my little brother noticing that something was written on her forehead. As we're getting ready to leave the house, I was trying to decide if I should say something or not, but I was also confused as to why no one else was saying anything. I knew that I couldn't let her go out in public with bright green letters written across her forehead, but I wanted to so bad! Before I had a chance to say anything, my mom finally noticed and asked her what was on her forehead. She reached up and was feeling around but didn't see anything. Thats when I erupted into complete laughter meltdown as my sister ran to the bathroom to see what was happening. I will never forget the look on my sisters face as I followed her into the bathroom and she registered what was on her face. It was the funniest things I have ever seen in my life. There were lots more of the midnight forehead caper, but that was the best.

So I was going to post this tomorrow but I'm to excited so I had to post it today. We will be leaving for Europe in exactly 1 month from tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 weeks away from this rainy state, away from our annoying family, just AWAY! I can't wait. I haven't been on vacation in almost 1 whole year. Next Saturday is when we do our Europe shopping trip and go buy the little things that we still need. And also what is exciting is that we are SOOOOOOO busy all the way up until the day we leave, that I'm sure this month will fly by! Here is what is going on just in this month alone. Every single weekend until we leave is full of stuff and then our weekdays are full of working and getting things done around the house before we leave.

- My mom's birthday along with both of my best friends, Josh's best friend and my little brothers

- Father's Day

- Baby shower

- Our 2 year wedding anniversary (and 1 year of paying a mortgage! yay!)

- Josh's sisters wedding (which seems to be taking much more of my time than I ever imagined)

- 4th of July

Plus, I'm supposed to start planning a trip to go visit my grandparents in CA which has to be before Jan. 1. So I'm thinking that I'm going to go in December sometime when its cold here but nice there. Also, my best friend and her husband who live in AZ, might come up here in August or September and stay with us for a week or so and we'll be going camping sometime too. I'm trying to get our friends from AZ to come up later in the year so that she can be here for Andrea's baby shower and not miss it or have to come back up since she won't be able to afford it. Also, Josh's old-man birthday is right after we get back from Europe, and we will watching his little sister's puppy (a min-pin who is is totally wired ALL the time) for like 3 weeks the instant we get back because she will be visiting her boyfriend who is from England.

Dude it friggin' rained so much on Tuesday. Harley's dog bowl got left outside and when I went to get it for dinner-time, I noticed that it had rained so much that his bowl was almost full. It was almost brimming. That is crazy, because that is how much rain we got in only 12 hours. But good for my plants because I was getting tired of watering them everyday and I had just told Josh the day before that I hope it starts raining soon so that I dont have to keep paying to water my plants. We live in Washington for friggin' sake and it hadn't rained for like 3 weeks prior.

If your in a relationship and you are both home but you know you need to go to the grocery store, do you hate going by yourself? Or is that just me? I get so annoyed when we are both home and I'm like ok, time to go to the grocery store and Josh is like I'm not going but I want this and this and this and blah blah blah. Excuse me...your not what? Oh hell to the no. That happened last night. I was working all day and he had just gotten up like 2 hours ago (since he has been working nights) and I'm like, ok time to go. And he's like I didn't plan on it. So nonchalantly and like I was a stupid moron for thinking he would go. So I got pissed and told him fine, then don't bitch when I come home and the shit you want to eat isn't in the grocery bags. Then I left. And took his car. It doesn't bother me that much really, I think I just have a problem going places by myself....or I should say, places I already don't want to go to, much less by myself.

P.S. I hate work. I want to retire. Who gives a shit that I'm only 25. I want to retire now and do something fun everyday.
