........
I couldn't think of a good title - but I haven't posted in about a million years so thought I would fill anyone who still reads my blog about what I've been up to these past couple weeks...or months. Not much really - just working super duper hard, there are audits and projects coming up and everything has to be perfect before I leave for Europe since there are only 2 people in the company. The more perfect everything is, the less my boss will have to cover for me which means the less work she has to do, which means a happier boss when I get back.
I want another dog, but thats nothing new really. Or even a kitten. Or a turtle or a fish or something. I've got all my paperwork filled out for the local animal safe haven that I will be volunteering at when I get back from Europe. I wish I could start now, but they have made it very clear that if you do this, you have to commit and show up every week because the animals depend on you. I understand this, and would feel bad if I started now and then had to leave for 3 weeks, so I decided to start after we get back.
I bought a whole bunch of gardens from Springhill Nursery. It was awesome because I got a catalog in the mail and I was looking through it trying to come up with ideas for our boring front yard, when I saw that everything was on sale. And then I noticed that certain things were on sale, and then an additional 1/2 half! RAD! So went to the website and started filling up my shopping cart. I got 3 gardens, which is about 32 planets per garden so that is awesome and it only cost me about $25 per garden. So anyways, I got the Songbird Garden, the Three Seasons Garden, and the Hummingbird & Butterfly Garden. I also got a bunch of ground covers and some of those burning bushes that turn that awesome color of red in the fall. And all this only cost me $130 which I think is beyond awesome. So those should be shipped out to me between April 1 - April 20. Then I will be a planting machine. Wide-brimmed hat, knee pads and floral covered gardening gloves here I come.
I hate our neighbors - I'm not sure if I've ever touched on that subject before. But on one side of us, the neighbor lady feeds our dogs and makes them sick which is not cool in my book. I've yelled at her a couple times and she hasn't done it for awhile, but she still annoys me. And on the other side, we have the parents so wrapped up in their own lives that they forget they have 3 kids under the age of 10. And 2 dogs who they do not take care of - so much so that I'm this close to calling animal control, filing a complaint and hoping that animal control removes the dogs from the premises after seeing what these dogs look like and the conditions they have to live in.
It was weird having Easter in March, isn't it usually in April? It kind of threw me off and now April is boring with no holidays. Sad. But my friend is turning 30 so I'm looking forward to that!
I'm going on a cruise in 2010, I know its like super early to be planning this, but I'm going with my mom and she has already booked it. So its set in stone. But I'm excited because that will be to some places that I've never been to before and hell, who would pass up traveling around the world???? Plus, my mom loves warm weather, so I know it will be someplace amazing and hot.
We got together with some friends last weekend and played Scene It and Catch Phrase. Two of my most favorite games in earth besides Sorry and Jenga. Anyways, they totally beat us at Scene It, but they had the old edition of Scene It so there were movies in there I have never heard of. Well Josh & I went and got the newer version of Scene It and have been practicing for a re-match.
So thats really all I've been up to, pretty boring I know.
